How can I return/exchange a product?

Are you not completely satisfied with your order? Then you can return your item within 14 days of receipt.
You can easily register returns via your account.
The costs for returning are at your own expense.

I didn't receive a receipt, order confirmation, or delivery notification email. What should I do?

Checked your spam folder? If there's no email from us there either, something probably went wrong while entering your email address. Please contact us as soon as possible.

Can I have my order gift wrapped?

Want to surprise someone? Then use our free gift service! Simply choose a nice gift, enter the recipient's delivery address, and select "Shipping" to send it as a gift. Want a personal message on the card? No problem! Just leave a message in the comments section below, and we'll write it for you. Don't forget to include a sender name!

Does Sjaal met Verhaal also have a physical store I can visit?

We have an online store for private customers. Unfortunately, our showroom in Middelburg is not open to private customers. Would you like to pick up your online order yourself? That's possible; just indicate this in your online order and make an appointment in advance!

How can I track my order?

When you place an order, we process it within two business days. Once your package has been collected by the postal service, it will usually be delivered the next day. As soon as your order has been presented to the postal service, you will receive an email with the Track & Trace code. You can track it by clicking the link in this email.

I received a gift certificate/voucher from Sjaal met Verhaal that I want to spend in the webshop. How do I do that?

You can enter this code in the "Discount Code" box in your shopping cart or during checkout. Enter the code and click "Apply." The amount will be deducted automatically. Do you have a voucher that can be redeemed in multiple installments? Then you will automatically receive a new email with a new code for the remaining amount after ordering. PLEASE NOTE: Shipping costs are not included in the code value in our system! Do you need to pay extra? You can do so via iDEAL or another direct payment method.

I have a VVV Gift Card. How do I redeem it?

At Sjaal met Verhaal, you can pay with a VVV Gift Card. For these gift cards, the maximum amount you can spend per card is €50, even if the card is worth more. Select "VVV Gift Card" under Payment and click "Pay Now." A screen will appear and the process will be self-explanatory. The discount will be applied immediately. You can spend the credit all at once or in installments. If your gift card balance is insufficient to cover your entire purchase, you can pay the remaining balance in any way you prefer.

I have a Webshop Gift Card. How do I redeem it?

If you want to use your card balance in our webshop, you must first convert it to a gift card that can only be spent in the Sjaal met Verhaal webshop. You can do this via this link .
Once you've done that, you can pay for your order in our webshop with the gift card by selecting 'Webshop Gift Card' under Payment and clicking 'Pay Now'. A screen will appear and will be self-explanatory. The discount will be applied immediately. You can spend the credit all at once or in installments. If your gift card balance is insufficient to cover your entire purchase, you can pay the remaining amount in any way you prefer.

I'm getting an error message '120', what does this mean?

Due to the new European anti-money laundering directive AMLD5, the online portion of the VVV Gift Card transaction may not exceed €50, effective July 1, 2020. You can, of course, pay the remaining portion of the online transaction with iDEAL.

How much will I have to pay in shipping costs?

Within the Netherlands, we offer free shipping on orders of €50 or more. For orders under €50, we charge a reduced shipping rate of €5.95. (Different rates apply to stores! See here)

In other European countries, orders of €100 or more are free of shipping costs. For orders under €100, we charge a reduced shipping rate of €8.95 for Germany and Belgium, and €14.95 for France. Want to order from another country and find out what the shipping costs are? Please contact us!

Can I have my order delivered to an address other than my billing address?

Yes, you can change your delivery address in just a few clicks. This is handy if you want to surprise someone with a gift or if you're not home. Place the items you want delivered to a different address in your shopping cart. Change the shipping address to the address where you want to receive the items. The billing address remains your own.

What is the best way to wash my scarf or blanket?

This one is best washed in the washing machine at 30°C. It is not suitable for the dryer.

I have a shop and would like to become a customer of Sjaal met Verhaal. How does this work?

Email us your store name, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) and VAT number, describe your store, and indicate which Sjaal met Verhaal items you're most interested in. Once approved, we'll create an account for your store. You'll then receive a confirmation email with a link to log in. Want to know more? Visit the Become a Point of Sale page or contact us.

How do I change my details in my account?

Log in to your account and click your name in the top right corner of the screen. This will take you to the "Your Account" page. You can edit your information under "Personal Information" and "Address Information."

I can't log in, what can I do?

Click "Login" in the top right corner of the screen. You'll log in with the email address you have on file with us.

After entering your email address, you will receive a one-time login code by email. Use this code to log in.

No password is used.

How do you protect my personal data?

Can I order by phone or email?

No, unfortunately that's not possible. You can only order through our webshop. Our system is simple and user-friendly, but if you have any questions about how to order online, please contact our customer service: 0118-774643 .

I can no longer find a product online, is it sold out?

Yes, when an item is no longer online, it is sold out. Do you want to receive a message as soon as the item is available again? Then click on the 'Remind me when available' button next to the product. You will automatically receive an email as soon as the item is back in stock.

Where does the wool from which the felt products are made come from?

The wool used in Nepal to produce our felt products comes from sheep in New Zealand. The sheep are sheared there in an animal-friendly manner.

How does Scarf with a Story support women in Nepal?

The goal of Scarf with a Story is to create employment for women in Nepal. Work means income, and income contributes to an improved quality of life for women and their families.
