Tzering and Loops & Looms

For several years, we have been working with Tzering Gurung, the driving force behind Loops & Looms in Nepal. With her team, she creates products from recycled saris. Every sari already has its own history, which makes each product unique in color, design, and appearance.

The collaboration with Tzering began during a period when she was building her own business. Loops & Looms has since grown into a workshop where a growing team works daily on new collections of recycled saris.

With the help of donations, we have been able to support Tzering with additional worktables, cabinets, sewing machines, irons, and other essential work materials. This investment helps her work more efficiently, further improve quality, and expand her team.

The growth of Loops & Looms is visible. Not only in the workshop, but also in the confidence with which Tzering further develops her business.

Recycled saris with a new story

For this collection, existing saris are reused. Instead of letting the fabrics lie unused, they are given new life as a scarf, bunting, garland, or other decoration. This creates a collection that is not only colorful but also contributes to a more sustainable use of materials.

Because every sari is different, every product is also unique. That makes this collection special.

More than just a beautiful purchase

Purchasing these items is more than just a purchase. With every order, you contribute to strengthening employment in Nepal and to the further development of Loops & Looms as a sustainable and social initiative.

So you not only choose a unique handmade product but also support the people who carefully make these products.
