The premise of Sjaal met Verhaal is to create jobs for women. By ensuring a continuous supply of products, you create jobs, and jobs generate income.

In addition, from day one, Sjaal met Verhaal has supported various projects in Nepal that rely on donations. The two largest projects are the children's home in Pokhara, run by the Namaste Community Foundation (NCF) , and the construction of a medical post by the Asian Heritage Foundation Nepal .

Sjaal met Verhaal also supports projects in other ways. For example, there are always products with minor defects or that are left over in inventory. This doesn't mean these products are no longer saleable. These products are donated to the Diyo Nepal Foundation , among others. They sell these products at small markets, and the proceeds go to the foundation.
